Nina Nitsche

Hello, my name is Nina Nitsche and I am in my penultimate year at the Kantonschule (Gymnasium) Uster. I play the piano as a hobby, shocking isn't it?
I am a very open and honest person, which makes it easier for many people to get in touch with me. I started playing the violin at the age of 6 because of my family traditions. In 2018 I decided to start playing the piano in private lessons. When I started Gymnasium in 2021, I started lessons with Charlotte Dentan. I love playing the piano very much because I can forget about stress and time. For me, playing the piano is like magic, because you can put your whole heart into it and feel the musical sound in your whole body. A good pianist once told me a story about an old student of him and her mother. Towards the end of each of his students lessons, the mother always came and asked if she could touch the piano. The first time, the teacher was puzzled and asked why she was doing this. He soon realized that the student's mother was deaf and could feel the vibrations by touching the piano. The pupil said that her mother could hear her daughter's music from this magnificent instrument. This story touched me deeply and only strengthened my desire to make music. I expect to hear many young people deliver their hours of preparation at the competition. I also look forward to hearing part of the student themselves in the piece, how the student's heart accompanies them musically through the piece.
